Durham Session 4

This was the highlight of the day. Dundee wrote a building block that facilitates self and peer assessment. Criteria are specified on the Blackboard site, then student papers can be handed out anonymously to other students, who go through the criteria and award marks for them. Final average, etc. is all done for you, and you can moderate the marks later (can choose to shove them in gradebook when done). Staff and students can see full report of all marks and feedback from self, others. Really cool actually.

They made it themselves over a year or so. Will be releasing it in some way. Looking for free betas now, but not sure how will be released, with a subscription with support, one off with no support, etc.

Looks very much like a Bb app.
Makes collating marking from peer assessed activities way easier.

Hope to have more statistics to see how you mark compared to others, etc.

Came from academic focus groups at their school.
